Classical Guitar

 

We are pleased to invite classical guitar players and lovers of guitar music at all levels and interests to attend, perform and socialize. The first meeting will be:

This location is adjacent Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital

Parking available in two lots

 

For several years local Atlantic coast classical guitar players, students, teachers, musicians, aficionados have wanted a periodic meeting to gather for the purpose of performing works currently “in progress” in a supportive environment. Also, to hear classical guitar music, share information and catch up on the latest news. We now have access to a recently renovated site at a convenient location on the beach side.

 

The location is the former Menlo’s Italian Ristorante, a famous gathering spot for local personalities, visiting artists and headline entertainers performing in the Spacecoast region. The business closed in March 2021 after thirty-three years of service. A portion of the building has been repurposed for private veterinary services leaving the original VIP dining room available for use as a meeting & performance area. That’s us!

 

Our host is Dr. Manuel “Jose” Pepen, a guitarist and veterinarian. The organizers are Frank DeGroodt, retired musician with an international career as performing guitarist and teacher, and Roger Allen Cope, currently active teacher, lecturer and retired performer.

 

All are welcome. Players, please plan to sign up on arrival, start time will be 2:15pm. We’ll have refreshments following the program and be finished not later than 4:00pm.
